Lebese joined the Brazilians from Kaizer Chiefs in August, where he spent close to a decade. However, as a big player, Lebese was expected to break into Downs’ side but has instead found himself struggling to make the bench.
“He hasn’t got the rhythm yet,” Mosimane explains.
“He is used to playing on the side of the line. We don’t play on the line to cross, you have to come inside like Themba Zwane, he is a winger but he comes inside and goes forward. He needs to adjust to that. That is the difference on how we play.

“The way we play, he understands all the movements we do but we need to understand that when we go out with the three attackers up front, we go out quicker with Percy Tau and Khama Billiat and that is not the way he is used to play for the last nine years.”
Lebese was handed a cameo appearance in Bafana Ba Style’s 4-0 thumping of Baroka FC on Tuesday, which was only his eighth appearance for the side.
“You know when it is 3-0 up it is good to give the others players who haven’t been playing a chance. I gave George a chance to get the confidence,” said Mosimane.
