Lebese let himself down at Sundowns – Haai

Former Bloemfontein Celtic midfielder David Haai says George Lebese has nobody but himself for the turn of events at Mamelodi Sundowns.

Lebese, who joined Mamelodi Sundowns from Kaizer Chiefs in July 2017, is said to be on his way out of the Brazilians after falling down the pecking order.

“I think our South African guys are lazy to be honest. Even during my time not just now, we don’t grab out chances when we get them. My advice is when you get a chance as a local player you must grab it or it will go then you are back on the bench,” Haai told Phakaaathi.

“For example a player like George Lebese, a good player, move to Sundowns and now he is no longer playing but then he was doing well at Chiefs. The criticism needs to come in because he must be doing something wrong, he must know I am a footballer this is what is expected of me.”

The 50-year-old added that Lebese has lots of talent and should be a regular starter at any team he plays for in the Absa Premiership.
