Larsen commends Arrows attackers

Golden Arrows coach Clinton Larsen lauded his attacking players following their 1-0 victory over Ajax Cape Town at the Princess Magogo Stadium last Sunday.

The victory saw the KwaZulu-Natal outfit climb up to position 11 in the league standings with 26 points, just two points away from the top eight spot.

“Our attacking quartet of Lerato Lamola, Siphelele Magubane, Velemseni Ndwandwe and Danny Venter constantly took the game to our opponents and we were rewarded when Lamola was brought down inside the box. Mzava made no mistake from the spot and we went into the break 1-0 up,” Larsen told the club’s website.

The Arrows coach added the victory was well deserved for his team and now they will be focusing on their next fixture against Polokwane City at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday to ensure that they finish inside the top-eight of the log standings by the end of the season.

“A deserved three points and now we go play away to Polokwane as we try to keep our top eight hopes alive.”
