Larsen backs Hunt for Bafana job

Golden Arrows coach Clinton Larsen has once again ruled himself out of the Bafana Bafana coaching job.

Larsen has been linked to the vacant national team head coach post for some time, but the Durban-born coach says he is not ready to lead Bafana.

“I think there are other coaches like Gavin Hunt, who are experienced and have not yet coached the national team,” said Larsen during the Player and Coach of the Month announcement at PSL offices on Monday.

“At this stage of my career, I think I should not be a candidate for national team coaching duties.”

Meanwhile, as reported earlier by Phakaaathi, Nigerian legend Samson Siasia has applied for the Bafana coaching job.

Siasia is said to be competing with Carlos Quieroz, Milutin Sredojevic, Ruud Krol and Hunt for the job.
