Komphela has visions of goals in his sleep, and they come true

Chiefs' coach says he had a dream his team would score from a corner against Highlands Park.

Amakhosi edged the Lions of the North 1-0 at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday evening, courtesy of a Lorenzo Gordinho’s header from a Siphiwe Tshabalala corner-kick.

“A strange thing just before that match. I said to Kemiso Motaung that ‘Kemi, I had a strange dream’ because normally I sleep during the day, I just switch off and focus on my job. I slept.

“When I woke up I had had a dream. We were playing in the same match with Kemiso and I was requesting her to ‘move away, I’m going to score it’s a corner kick’ and how did we score today?” Komphela told SuperSport TV after the match.

“Sometimes we lack so much respect to the energies but if you are conscious of what’s going on you are likely going to be along the way. We are on our way, we are happy about that and I hope she [Kemiso] will remember what I said before the match.”

Chiefs’ win against Highlands took Amakhosi to the top of the table.

Their next league match will be a trip to the Mother City to play Ajax Cape Town on February 25.
