“There was an incident after the match involving the coach and we want to apologise to Pitso,” said Komphela after the game.
“There was a skirmish. Football is a game of emotion. Our security personnel got too close to him. We wish to apologise.”
Mosimane thanked Komphela for apologising on behalf of Chiefs.
“Things do happen. This mustn’t darken a good game. It’s all OK,” said Mosimane.
Chiefs beat Sundowns 2-1 in front of a capacity crowd at FNB Stadium on Saturday night.
