Khuzwayo apparently asked Chiefs to guarantee him game time before he signs a new contract and Chiefs could not offer such guarantee.
“The rotation system doesn’t apply at a team like Kaizer Chiefs, which is unfortunate for a player who’s ready like Brilliant Khuzwayo, who is equally capable of doing the job for Chiefs.
“You’ll remember that the last time Chiefs won titles, which was the league and the Nedbank Cup, Brilliant Khuzwayo was their number one. So his availability and readiness was proven a long time ago. Brilliant has been left with no choice, but to look elsewhere and that’s what we’re currently doing,” Sukazi told SABC Sport this week.

Sukazi, however, ruled out a move for Khuzwayo during the current transfer window, which shuts at midnight today.
“He’ll still be in the Kaizer Chiefs squad list after the window period, however come the end of the season or the end of his contract, which is the 30th of June, he would have left Kaizer Chiefs. He wants to play,” concluded Sukazi.
Khuzwayo has been linked with Cape Town City and Orlando Pirates, and it’s not clear which team he will join after the expiry of his contract with Chiefs.
