Khune urges Bvuma to challenge him for Chiefs’ No 1 jersey

Injured Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune says he is proud of what young Bruce Bvuma has done for Amakhosi in his absence.

Bvuma, who until recently was a third choice goalkeeper behind Daniel Akpeyi and Virgil Vries, is a regular starter for Chiefs and has been doing well in goals for Amakhosi.

Khune has urged Bvuma to challenge him for that number one jersey when he returns from injury.

“I’m proud of you bro @brucebvuma_44 go for that No_1 Jersey Brother ????????supporting you all day every day,” wrote Khune on his Instagram account.

Meanwhile, as reported earlier, Akpeyi and Vries are said to be on their way out of Chiefs at the end of the season and therefore could well get his wish of competing with Bvuma for the Amakhosi number one jersey.
