Khama still happy at Chiefs, says agent
Khama Billiat’s agent, Mike Ngobeni has revealed that the midfielder is still happy at Kaizer Chiefs and committed to winning something at the club before considering a move away.

There has been plenty speculation regarding Billiat’s future with reported offers from teams in North Africa and Saudi Arabia and and also Mamelodi Sundowns.
But the one that set tongues wagging and got Amakhosi supporters worried was when it was reported last week that Billiat had spoken to Sundowns about a possible return to the Tshwane giants.
Speaking to SA FM on Wednesday night, Ngobeni denied knowledge of Sundowns’ interest but confirmed interest from the likes of Morocco’s Raja Cassablanca.
“Yes there were two offers from Egypt and Casablanca also made an offer. There was also one from Saudi Arabia,” said Ngobeni. “But we work differently. We work for the player. Khama is not ready to leave Chiefs and he told me he wants to spend another season with them. He really wants to win something with Chiefs. So we can’t force him into anything he doesn’t want,” said Ngobeni.

Ngobeni added that he did approach Chiefs with the offers but also made it clear to them that Billiat was happy to stay. Ngobeni also insisted that he hadn’t wanted to put pressure on Amakhosi as his client was happy there.
Of the Sundowns transfer, he said: “It is news to me. But if Sundowns are negotiating with Chiefs, I would not know. That is the procedure. If Sundowns want him, they would speak to Chiefs because Khama is employed by Chiefs and has a running contract with them. No one in SA has spoken to me about Khama.
“I would be the last person to be contacted if the two clubs are talking. They don’t have to go through me because he is not a free agent.
“But I don’t know if that will happen because Khama is happy at Chiefs. The fans love him, management are happy about him.
“It was also news to him as well because nobody has spoken to him. No one from Sundowns has spoken to him. He might not know because Sundowns cannot approach the player because that is against the rules. If the clubs agree on something then they will come to us,” explained Ngobeni.

Sundowns coach, Pitso Mosimane could neither deny nor confirm their interest on Billiat earlier this week, briefly saying everyone has a price.
Ngobeni also admitted that anything may still happen.
