Phakaaathi previously reported that Mirwa was one of the players that will be released by the club before the start of the 2019/20 season and now Chiefs have confirmed his departure.
“Kaizer Chiefs and Letlhogonolo Mirwa have parted ways. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours,” read a statement from Kaizer Chiefs.
Mirwa joined Chiefs from ABC Motsepe League side Buya Msuthu FC two seasons ago but failed to get regular game time at Amakhosi.
The left back is now a free agent after coach Ernst Middendorp and his technical team deemed him surplus to requirements at Naturena.
