Kaizer Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp charged with misconduct
This comes after the Premier Soccer League (PSL) brought back the charges against him.

The misconduct charges related to alleged statement Middendorp made directed at acting PSL CEO Mato Madlala in 2016.
Middendorp left South Africa to coach in the Far East in 2017 after he parted ways with Maritzburg United, forcing the PSL to suspend the case.
The German coach will appear before the league’s disciplinary committee on February 14 2018.
The case against Middendorp was never resolved but the PSL shelved it for when the 60-year-old would return to coach in South Africa.
A statement from the PSL read: “The charges arose from acts of alleged misconduct against Middendorp which took place shortly before his departure from Maritzburg United to coach in the Far East early in 2017. Middendorp is alleged to have made improper statements concerning the acting CEO of the PSL and the appointment of match referees to Maritzburg United FC matches.”
Middendorp accused Madlala, who is the owner of Golden Arrows and the acting PSL CEO, of not being neutral.
Middendorp was sacked by Arrows back in 2011 after his stint with the KZN side and asked Fifa to force Madlala’s side to pay his settlement fee as he was sacked before his contract expired.
