Josephs blames lack of experience for Wits’ Caf exit
Bidvest Wits goalkeeper Moeneeb Josephs says lack of experience in continental cup competition cost the Clever Boys a spot in the Caf Champions League group stages.

The Clever Boys were relegated to the Caf Confederation Cup after losing 1-0 on aggregate to Al Ahly of Egypt.
Josephs is confident his teammates will learn and adapt to the playing style in continental competitions.
“I think we were immature and inexperienced to break them (Al Ahly) down. We had more chances than them we should have scored but it was because we lacked experience. Guys like Phakamani and Gabadinho they will learn how to handle situations like this and how to be more deadly or have that killer instinct,” said Josephs.
The veteran keeper has drawn positives from their premature exit from the Champions League.
“We have to look at the positives. We have just started to get a team together that in the league can compete, we are not just a top eight team anymore we are not trying to survive relegation. We are a team that is fighting to win things.”
