Jordaan told members of the media on Saturday afternoon following Bafana’s 3-1 victory over Guinea-Bissau in Durban at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
The pending appointment of Shakes Mashaba’s successor has been hanging over Jordaan’s head for weeks, with Safa postponing the announcement of the national team trainer. It is believed Safa has a coach already and they are in the final stages of appointing Mashaba’s replacement.
“We must close it now and make the announcement‚ and we will make the announcement,” said Jordaan. “And there’s an agreement on who the coach is now. It is just to sign the details. We hope that it is soon after the Angola match that we ask you to wait no longer.”
