Jonevret slams Pirates defence

Orlando Pirates coach Kjell Jonevret is not happy about his team defended during their clash against Free State Stars.

Bucs suffered a shock 3-2 defeat at the hands of Ea Lla Koto on Saturday night.

“I was a little bit surprised because we have conceded one goal in every game since I have arrived, but the defence had been okay and we continue to work with it, so I was very surprised over our first half,” said Jonevret after the match.

“I think it’s okay to lose games by 1-0 or something, but to concede three goals as there was, a stupid free-kick and we totally forgot to mark a player, I was surprised. I didn’t believe that.

“They (Stars) were good, but I mean the first two or three minutes I was happy.

I hope that our players are now a little bit ashamed of this and we, together with all of us coaches and the staff, are going home and then we going to be back here next Saturday, and hopefully we can do better.”
