Jonevret not fazed by Pirates exit reports

Media reports from Uganda suggest that Serbian coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic is on his way to South Africa to replace Jonevret as Pirates coach.

Speaking during a media day on Wednesday, Jonevret says does not care much about his future at the club.

“With regards to my future, I don’t care too much about that. I have been in this business for long. I know the day I am going to quit here, I’m going to say to myself, ‘Good work, Kjell! You have done absolute best you could and you can step forward,” said the Swedish coach.

“So I’m not thinking too much about that. I come here every day, try to do my best today, tomorrow and yesterday, and that’s my only thoughts right now.”

Jonevret joined the Buccaneers in February this year and steered the team to the final of the Nedbank Cup but lost the tie to SuperSport United.

However, he could not help the club improve their performance in the league as they ended up finishing the season outside the top eight for the first time in the PSL era.
