Sali, who missed out on the team’s Nedbank Cup quarterfinal clash aginst Ezenkosi due to an injury, says he never got an opportunity to see Sono play, but the stories he heard about him makes him thinks that he is the legend of the game.
“I have a lot of respect for him (Jomo Sono). He is a legend of the game, and someone that has given so much to football in this country. I never got to watch him play but I have heard a lot about him as a player,” Sali was quoted on the club’s website.
“He is also former Bafana Bafana coach, someone that has always said good things about me as a player, something I appreciate. I always make time to greet him whenever we play against his team. He is an inspiration.”
