Jali has worked his way into coach Yves Vanderhaeghe’s squad and played the full 90 minutes in their 4-3 victory over Gent.
The midfielder returned to the first team in time for Stuart Baxter preparing to announce his Bafana Bafana squad. The former Orlando Pirates man fell down the parking order at the Belgian side after sustaining an injury that kept him out of action for a while. He struggled to get back in shape after recovering from his injury. The 27-year-old has made eight starts this season.
“It helps that he has lost two kilograms‚ and one thing that is certain is the quality is definitely there‚” Vanderhaeghe said.
“In training he has shown that he has regained his motivation and his smile.”
