This comes after reports emerged on social media on Wednesday night suggesting that the Bafana Bafana goalkeeper had lost his life in a car crash.
Football fans posted messages of condolences on social media after hearing the news.
Khune dismissed the rumours by posting a picture of himself on his official Twitter account with the caption “Alive and kicking”.
Khune’s girlfriend Sbahle Mpisane was, however, involved in a car accident last month in Durban while driving a car that the goal minder had bought her.
She is still in hospital recovering from the accident.
