It was a game of two halves – Chippa coach

The Clever Boys looked to be on their way to gaining maximum points from this encounter when Vincent Pule opened the scoring just after the hour mark.

Kristopher Bergman, however, grabbed the equaliser for the Chilli Boys 10 minutes before time to make sure the teams share the spoils.

“We expected them to come at us, and we knew that the only way for them to score against us would be from a set piece. Either corner kick, free kick or a throw in, and they caught us napping. But I should give credit to the boys for working hard to make sure that we come back into this game,” said Moloi after the game.

“Everybody tend to look at the position where Wits are, and they forget that these are the champions, irrespective where they are on the log. You don’t look at the log, but you give your opponents the respect they deserve. They have shown that they are a great team and wants to get out of the situation they find themselves in and today they came here to fight,” added Moloi.

Chippa will host Golden Arrows at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Sunday.
