Musona was called-up in the Warriors squad to face Congo Brazzaville at the national stadium in Zimbabwe.
The captain of the Zimbabwe national team could miss out after Lokeren have informed Chidzambwa that Musona might not be able to honour the call-up.
Chidzambwa says they will not panic over the former Kaizer Chiefs striker’s injury and they will continue with their plans.
Team manager Wellington Mpandare confirmed that they spoke to Lokeren about Musona’s injury and are waiting for a medical report.
Musona has struggled with an ankle injury from when he was with Chiefs before signing for KV Oostende in Belgium.
“We heard from the team that he got a knock on the ankle muscle but it’s too early to decide anything,’’ Mpandare told the Herald. “I am yet to see the report but I am sure it’s not very serious because they are also going to assess him further on Friday (today) ahead of the weekend games.’’
