While Bongani Zungu and Keagan Dolly are in the Bafana squad for the game against Libya, even though they have not played for their respective Ligue 1 clubs for months, spare a thought for Lebogang Phiri, who continues to be a regular at Guingamp in the French top flight, yet was not selected in Stuart Baxter’s squad to play Libya.
Phiri played the full 90 minutes again on Saturday, as Guingamp picked up a key 1-0 win at home to relegation rivals Dijon, to move out of the automatic relegation zone and into the relegation play-off spot.
That is probably their best hope of survival this season, as Guingamp remain seven points behind 17th placed Amiens.
