Tau’s 10 assists and seven Absa Premiership goals makes him the front-runner to walk away with the coveted Footballer-of-the-Season when the curtain falls on the 2017/18 campaign.
The 23-year-old’s has reportedly attracted interest from Russian side FC Rostov and Midtjylland of Denmark.

Masandawana coach Pitso Mosimane did confirm that there have been more offers tabled for his attacker. However, the Sundowns mentor has suggested though that the former Witbank Spurs player may not be ready for a move abroad.
Tau says he is ready.

“At this point I prefer to improve myself and whatever comes must find me prepared. I try to keep my focus because it has to be directed to the league, the Nedbank Cup and the Caf Champions League,” said Tau.
“I’ve played the Champions League, I have been in the Fifa Club World Cup, I have been with Bafana Bafana. On my own space I would also rate myself. I work with him (Mosimane) and I know he demands a lot.
“There are so many things that he wants me to do and he tells me if I can do this and this I can get better. I am grateful to be around him,” he added.
