“It is important to be a team player because as a team you can achieve more. It is never about me that much, it is always about the team and that is my thinking about a lot of games, to put the team first and I come second. That is why I would prefer to win a lot with the team than by myself,” he said.

Tau is chasing the top goalscorer’s prize as he is topping the charts with Polokwane City’s Rodney Ramagalela on 11 goals apiece. However, his humble nature prompts him to insist that he is not keen on winning the award.
“Sometimes my teammates are in a better position to score than me and if they score we are still going to celebrate the same way and I am still going to be excited and happy for the,” he said.
He adds: “I always look for improvement in all games. What the point of me scoring goals and not looking after the small details. I prefer looking after the details. I know that the goals will count, but I focus on the small details a lot and that helps me grow in my game as a player.”
