Speaking to the media after his side’s 1-0 loss to Baroka FC last Tuesday, Hunt said he had give the duo some “honest advice”and is confident they will stay with Wits.

“They’re fine, the boys are fine. Obviously it is disturbing when you open up the football papers and there’s a story about one of them. It’s disturbing, but they talk to me, I talk to them, and I’ll always give them the best advice,” said Hunt.

“We can’t lose them now, if we really hit the skids then we’ll have to sell somebody, but no, it’s not that bad.”

With the transfer window still open until the end of August, it remains to be seen if Hunt’s “honest advice” has worked and the players will remain with Wits or if they will move to the ‘Big Two’.
