Wits striker Terrence Dzvukamanja’s shot hit the goal post and went over the goal line and bounced into goalkeeper Ronwen Williams’ hands. The referee had to disallow the goal after speaking to the lineman who was believed to have a better view of the goal.

The draw leaves Wits with two points behind Mamelodi Sundowns who are in second place with 50 points.

Hunt recalled the 1994 league campaign when Cape Town Spurs won the league but Orlando Pirates were awarded an extra point as part of a ruling from the league in a case where Vaal Professionals failed to produce players’ I.D cards.

“There is no match to say, it is what it is,” Hunt told SuperSportTV. “The ball is over the line, it has got to be over the line.

“It (the goal) has changed the whole season.  The hardest thing to do in this country is to win. I feel for the players they have worked so hard this season. We are not a big club we are a small club. We fight out of our weight division all the time and we get it like that.

“You what is happening with boardroom points and whatever is going on now. It happened in 1994. It is what it is.”
