Gyimah walks out of Pirates

The hard tackling centre back is believed to have submitted a written request to the club before honouring his call up to the Ghana national team, who were knocked out of the semifinals of the recent Africa Cup of Nations last year.

Gyimah was involved in a car accident last year in the early hours of Boxing Day while in his home town of Obuasi, Ghana.

“The club has acceded to Mr Gyimah’s request [to be released from the club] and wish him all of the best in his future endeavours,” read a statement on the club’s website.
