According to reports, the Ghana government didn’t fly the team out of Brazzaville on Tuesday night after their 2018 World Cup qualifier against Congo.
The Black Stars beat the Red Devils 5-1. Gyan’s kindness saved the team from travelling back home via commercial routes and European-based players returning to their clubs late.
Gyan was ruled out of the match against Congo Brazzaville due to a groin strain, but the skipper travelled with the team anyway.
Ghana travelled back to Kotoka International Airport in Accra straight after the match.
