Cande was full of praise for the Owen da Gama coached Bafana after his side lost 3-1 to South Africa in a friendly at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
The Guinea-Bissau trainer was impressed by the youthful squad called up by caretaker coach Owen da Gama for the friendlies against Angola and Guinea-Bissau.
Bafana Bafana managed to register a win and a draw in the two fixtures. The South African national team’s vacant coaching position is expected to be filled soon with Safa expected to unveil Shakes Mashaba’s successor before the league resumes.
“I believe it’s a young team and we can see the potential in it,” Cande said on KickOff.com
“When you look at them, you can see that they can go forward and reach the level of the time of Benni McCarthy, they have that potential.”
