The Black Stars scored twice in the second half to book a spot in the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon, with goals coming from Jordan and Andre Ayew.
DR Congo were made to rue the chances they wasted in the first half as they could only score once to cancel Jordan Ayew’s stunner before his brother converted from the penalty spot for the winning goal.
“We corrected the mistakes we made and in the second period it was totally different,” Grant told reporters after the match.
“We played good football. The two goals we scored were fantastic.”
