It was a good training session, jokes Malesela
Chippa United spoiled Mamelodi Sundowns’ party as they held the defending champions to a goalless draw at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium.

Sundowns needed a victory to become the pacesetters of the league but failed to break through the Chilli Boys in a match that was played out in two days after the first part of the encounter was brought to a premature end following power failure at the arena on Tuesday evening. The duo had played for 41 minutes before the ordeal and resumed play at 10am on Wednesday morning.
Chippa coach Dan ‘Dance’ Malesela – whose side has now failed to beat Masandawana in four attempts this season – said he expected the day two of the match to be a dull affair and thus reduced to a training session.
“We were going to recovery and train today anyway, so it was a good training session. It is not often you get a training session with Sundowns,” Malesela said jokingly.
He continued: “I am good with the point, they’ve taken two points from us, and so did we, so it is fine. But you don’t want to be happy with drawing with Sundowns, you want to be happy beating Sundowns because to be honest, we are four points down, as much as they are four points down, and we need the points more. Honestly speaking, in this game, we did not do much to get those points.”
“It is very important, very critical, because we haven’t been collecting three points, we have been collecting ones and ones … we need to get to three [points],” added the former Sundowns player.
