Ghana goalkeeper to join Sundowns today – report

Ghana goalkeeper Richard Ofori will fly to South Africa today (Friday) to sign a deal with Mamelodi Sundowns, according to reports


According to Ghanasoccer.net, the WA All Stars goalie will sign a three-year deal with the Brazilians.

“The highly-rated glovesman has agreed a deal with the African champions and will put pen to paper on a long-term deal.

“The 22-year-old impressed during a trial session at the club after the end of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.

“Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane is convinced about the qualities of the Ghanaian international and feel will give better competition to Ugandan Denis Onyango,” Ghanasoccer.net reported.

Sundowns’ foreign quota spots are currently all filled, and it remains to be see whether or not the African champs will release one player to make room for Ofori.
