Ndlovu says he wants to pursue his dream of becoming a lawyer and is convinced football is standing in the way.
The goal minder joined City in the 2015/2016 season as the club’s second choice goalkeeper after George Chigova.
The 27-year-old announced his decision to cut ties with Rise and Shine this week to the club’s management.
Ndlovu said he wanted to complete his law degree and would like to focus all his energy on his studies.
Ndlovu told Limsportzone: “My plan is to forget about football for now because at the moment it is frustrating me, I am not happy and it’s changing the person that I am so I choose to focus on my studies only, you understand? If they are going to terminate [the contract] or not that’s up to them but I made it clear to the manager (Bernard Molekwa) that I am going back to school full time. I am not going to be part of the team, I am not going to be honouring everything that I have been doing for the team. Now my focus is on my studies and that is what I am going to stick to.”
