Former Stars player Zongo released from prison
Former Platinum Stars dribbling sensation Masibusane Zongo was reportedly released from prison.

Zongo has been in police custody after he was arrested for a charge of rape that allegedly took place in the Western Cape in 2013.

It is unclear why Zongo was let go by the authorities, and it seems the charges against him have not been dropped. However the midfielder is free to resume his football career for the time being.

Jomo Cosmos coach Jomo Sono once said he was keen to add Zongo in his team, but with these charges still hanging over him, it’s uncertain if the Black Prince will sign the player.
