Former Pirates youngster among players to watch at Fifa U20 WC

Amajita striker Lyle Foster has been included in the list of players to watch at the Fifa Under-20 World Cup in Poland starting on May 23.

The former Orlando Pirates striker is in the Fifa list that includes players like Barcelona’s Leonardo Campana from Ecuador as well as Nigeria’s midfielder Kingsley Michael, who plays for Bologna in Italy.

Foster moved to France to join Monaco early this year from the Buccaneers and has made one appearance in the Uefa Youth League. He is yet to feature for the Ligue 1 side, though he did make the bench for a game against Lille in March.

The former Pirates forward has three senior caps for Bafana Bafana, but will be looking to make an impact at the youth tournament before featuring more regularly for Monaco next season.

Amajita kick-start their group stages games with a clash against Argentina on Saturday.
