Former Pirates striker training with SAB League club

Bacela, joined the team for training this week, tells Phakaaathi that he took up the club’s offer to help them gain promotion to the ABC Motsepe League.

“I am keeping myself fit as for the past year or so I have been away from football. I have not signed and I didn’t join the team to revive my career. I decided to take them up on their offer. They asked if I could come in and help the team. They have a good chance of gaining promotion and I want to help them,” Bacela told Phakaaathi.

The former Bloemfontein Celtic man added that he was encouraged by the fact that the club is closer to his home.

“I know they are a good team. Their training grounds are close to my house, so I know the team. They are in second place on the league table and have two games in hand, so they can gain promotion,” commented Bacela.
