The former Orlando Pirates midfielder made a shock loan move to the Chilli Boys in January to reunite with Tebogo Moloi.
Moloi has since been sacked by Chippa United, while Rakhale is set to leave the club in the next transfer window.
Isolezwe spoke to two separate sources about Chiefs contacting Rakhale.

“I spoke to Rakhale, and he said Chiefs wants him. All that’s left to do now is for Chiefs to contact Chippa, and make an offer for the player. If all goes well then he could be at Chiefs next season.”
Amakhosi promised to dump a lot of players at the end of the season to make way for new players that can change the situation at Chiefs.
“A player like him would suit Chiefs. The club needs someone like him, a player who makes a difference on the field,” said another source.
“Chiefs need to move quickly on the deal. In the coming weeks there could be new developments on the deal.”
