Former Chiefs striker takes reigns at Baroka

Former Kaizer Chiefs striker, Sydney Moshikaro, is back in the ABC Motsepe League as head coach of Baroka FC.

The lanky target man, who was on the books of Great North FC during the 2015/16 season, will be tasked to steer Baroka to the National First Division in the new season with the current season just a few weeks from conclusion.

Moshikaro will be hoping to do better in his second stint as a coach after he was relieved off his duties midway through the season while coaching Great North FC.

He has already been in charge of Baroka in their last three games where he managed to collect six points including an impressive away 3-1 victory in against Giyani against Ndengeza FC.

Speaking from the sidelines of this past weekend’s ABC Motsepe League matches at the Oscar Mphethe Stadium in Limpopo, Moshikaro said he was looking forward to the new season and believes he has a good blend of youth and experience in his team.

“We have a good crop of youngsters balanced with experienced players in this squad. The season is almost over but we have already started talking about next season and what we need to improve on as a team. Coaching in the second division is not for the faint hearted so one needs to be up for the task and understand the dynamics that are involved in the league,” said Moshikaro.
