Former Chiefs and Pirates striker inspires Maccabi to NFD
Maccabi FC have gained promotion to the National First Division (NFD) after beating Limpopo-based Dolphins United side 3-1 in the ABC Motsepe league national play-offs at the Tuurfloop Stadium on Thursday afternoon.

Maccabi, who are coached by former Kaizer Chiefs defender Mokete Tsotetsi, will now wait for the second semi-final between Mangaung United and TS Sporting FC later today to see which team will be joining them in the NFD and the final.
Former Amakhosi man Collins Mbesuma who was introduced as a late substitute in the game with the score-line reading 1-1 put Macabbi in the lead before Madoda Motha added the thrird to ensure the Gauteng side reach the final of the national play-offs and get promoted to the NFD.
