Chippa United humiliate Kaizer Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs looked flat when they hosted Chippa United on Saturday afternoon at the FNB Stadium. Amakhosi lost 3-0 to the Chilli Boys and the loss angered Chiefs fans. They then threw objects at coach Steve Komphela and the players after the game. Chippa’s goals were scored by Thabo Rakhale, Mxolisi Macuphu and Edward Manqele.

Sundowns extends their lead at the top

Sundowns intensified their bid to win the Absa Premiership title when they beat Baroka FC 2-1 on Sunday afternoon. The Brazilians win increased the gap between them and second-placed Orlando Pirates to four points. Sundowns have now played the same number of games as Pirates.

Platinum Stars revive survival chances

Platinum Stars looked dead and buried with five games to go before the end of the season, however, they put themselves back in the fight for survival when they beat Polokwane City 2-0 on Saturday. Dikwena are now three points behind 15th placed Ajax Cape Town. With four games left to play Dikwena have revived their chances of staying in the Absa Premiership.

Chippa players expose Khune

Bafana keeper Itumeleng Khune has pulled off some brilliant saves this season, but he was exposed by the Chippa United players at FNB Stadium on Saturday when they put three goals past him. The goal were not ordinary goals or players profiting from a defensive error, they were well worked goals which the goal scorers showing composure and skill to beat South Africa’s number goalkeeper.

Sundowns players passing a note

Denis Onyango and his teammates were caught on camera passing a note from coach Pitso Mosimane. The note was given to Oupa Manyisa who passed it on to his captain Hlompho Kekana before it found its way to goalkeeper Denis Onyango. The video of this incident created a buzz on social media with many wondering what the message from coach Pitso Mosimane was to his players.
