A female fan lost her life during a 2019 Afcon qualifier between Zimbabwe and Congo Brazzaville at the National Sports Stadium on Sunday.

According to reports, fans tried to force their way into the stadium to watch the crucial match that ended 2-0 in favour of the Warriors when the incident happened.
A report by BBC says the fan died outside the stadium before kick-off.
The Zimbabwe Football Association (Zifa) confirmed that a fan lost her life outside the stadium in a stampede.
Zimbabwe qualified for the Afcon after finishing top of Group G.
