According to the Sunday Sun, Jantjie took a R1 million life cover and made Portia the main beneficiary of the R1 million life cover and was entrusted her with dividing the money equality between his two children.
However, Portia has reportedly kept the money for herself while Jantjie’s children are struggling to pay school fees.
“He wanted his children to be taken care of. I advised him to take out a life insurance policy and select someone he trusted as the beneficiary. He chose his sister as they were close,” a source told the Sunday Sun.
Jantjie’s baby mama from the Eastern Cape told the Sunday newspaper that she was not aware of the life cover pay-out.
“I don’t know anything about the pay-out. No one helps me since Sinethemba died,” she said.
