Nale, who was on Chiefs’ books from 2009 to 2014, is said by the online publication to have received legal documents last Wednesday from Standard Bank, saying his house could be put up for auction if he does not repay R415 804.

Former Chiefs forward Nale’s troubles

Nale, now 38, apparently stated to run into trouble when he was still playing football.

“The matter emanates from 2009 when he was still playing,” a court sheriff told City Press.

“He agreed to an overdraft facility with the bank and he has been occasionally using it without paying.”

The publication says that Nale agreed to pay the bank back in instalments of R21 000 per month, but has not been doing so.

Not prolific

Nale joined Chiefs from Golden Arrows in January 2009 and played regularly fairly regularly for about three and a half seasons, though he was never a prolific goalscorer. He did score two goals and four assists in 15 Premiership matches in the 2008/9 season.
