Ertugral has no advice for new Pirates coach

Former Orlando Pirates coach, Muhsin Ertugral has declined to comment or offer any advice to the Soweto giants’ new mentor, Kjell Jonevret.

Ertugral, who has recently returned to the country after spending a few weeks in Germany and Turkey, said it would make him look foolish to have any words for the Scandinavian coach.

“I can’t offer the new coach any advice,” Ertugral was quoted as saying by Isolezwe on Thursday.

“Ii I were to do that I would be opening myself up for attacks by fans and be turned into a joke because they would ask why I never implemented that myself,” he added.

“That is why I cannot say anything about the new coach. Things are not well at Pirates but let’s hope they will change soon. The chairman (Irvin Khoza) knows his job thus I don’t doubt he has chosen the right man for the job,” he said.

Ertugral also revealed he had turned down a few local and Turkish teams who wanted his services.

“I will return to club football next season. I want to start the season not jump in midway,” he said.

Phakaaathi understands that Baroka FC is one of the local teams who asked about Ertugral’s availability.
