Egypt FA rumoured to be speaking to Mosimane about Pharaohs job

It is said that Mosimane will not have to leave his current position as head coach of African giants, Al Ahly but will do both jobs concurrently if he agrees to take up the offer.

Just a few days after he was awarded as the best head coach by the Egyptian Sports Critics Association, Pitso Mosimane is said to have caught the eyes of the Egyptian Football Association who now want him to also take charge of the national team, the Pharaohs.

It is said that Mosimane will not have to leave his current position as head coach of African giants, Al Ahly but will do both jobs concurrently if he agrees to take up the offer.

The rumour has caused a furore on Twitter with some suspecting that the Egyptians are moving quickly to ensure he doesn’t go back to Bafana Bafana where he is said to be No. 1 on Safa’s list for the vacant head coach position.

But while Mosimane has been active on Twitter lately, replying to messages and stories about him, he has not said anything about this rumour that’s been flying around since Tuesday afternoon.

Mosimane has done fairly well since leaving Mamelodi Sundowns late last year. He is said to have become an instant hit at the continent’s most successful club after winning the treble with the club in just less than a year in charge of the Red Devils.

Speaking of his award, Mosimane wrote through his Twitter account: “The second personal award in seven months. Thank you Al Ahly (players, technical staff, our supporters and president Khatib and his board memembers, my family). My mother from the Khoza clan, taught me that, ‘Mintirho Ya Vulavula’ (actions speak louder then words) and leave the rest to others to do the talking.”
