Free State Stars midfielder Makhehleni Makhaula says the club will have to keep on fighting hard in order to finish the season on a positive note having endured a barren season this campaign.
Stars registered their sixth victory of the season after defeating Bidvest Wits 3-1 at Goble Park on Wednesday night, a result that saw the Bethlehem based-outfit moving away from the relegation battle while denting league title hopes for Wits.
“We had to double our effort coming into this game, we knew that our log position was not really good, so we had to do something about it,” said the Mohlakeng-born player, who scored the first goal for the home team and was named man-of-the-match for his fine performance.
Ea Lla Koto are 13th on the league table, four points away from the drop, with two games remaining. And the Stars midfielder says the players have committed themselves to registering maximum points in the remaining fixtures.
