De Sa rubbishes Bafana rumours

Roger De Sa has dismissed rumours that he could be about to join the Bafana Bafana coaching staff.

De Sa resigned as Maritzburg United coach on Thursday, citing difficulty in travelling between Maritzburg and his family in Cape Town.

“I can’t believe how people jump on that one … I have never spoken to anyone at Safa,” De Sa tells Phakaaathi.

The South African Football Association have also said that De Sa is not on their radar.

“It has nothing to do with us,” said Safa Head of Communication Dominic Chimhavi on De Sa’s resignation. Chimhavi added that Safa expect to name a new head coach on “Wednesday or Thursday.”
