Da Gama wants to turn Makhulong into ‘slaughter house’

Highlands Park coach Owen Da Gama says it is important for his side not to lose any games at home.

The Lions of the North held Kaizer Chiefs goalless draw at Makhulong Stadium on Tuesday night.

The draw has given Owen Da Gama confidence moving into the next match against Chippa United at the same venue on Saturday.

“I think it is very difficult for teams to walk out of Makhulong with a points, we will never under estimate Chippa, you can’t,” Da Gama told reporters.

“They are a quality team, they have the potential to beat any team that is how close things are getting in the PSL but for now will start preparing for Chippa.

“We can’t say much for now, but guys we have never said we will be a top eight team or will avoid the relegation, what we say is we have come to add value to the PSL. We have come to add value to this wonderful brand and we are going to be as competitive as any team, that is our focus. We will analyse them and we will see what happens on Saturday.”
