The last two weeks have been quite challenging for SuperSport United, with a number of positive Covid-19 cases at the club, but they have managed to pull through without some of their influential players.

Matsatsantsa have collected four points from three games, beating Stellenbosch 1-0, before losing by the same scoreline to Mamelodi Sundowns and playing to a goalless draw with Sekhukhune United.
With one more game to go before the team goes into the festive break, assistant coach Andre Arendse has pleaded with the squad to give their all in their DStv Premiership clash with Cape Town City at the Lucas Moripe Stadium tomorrow, and he is impressed with the contribution of the youngsters.
“It’s the last one for the year, the players need to finish on a high. I think we must look at taking the momentum from our last three games. You look at Stellenbosch, you look at Sundowns and this past one against Sekhukhune. There is lots of momentum we can take from those games and we are asking everyone to give their last final push,” said the Matsatsantsa assistant coach.
“I said to the players, especially the young players, what this pandemic is doing is presenting opportunities and they must look at it as grabbing these opportunities and I can’t fault them.
“We have few youngsters in now, Kegan Johannes has slotted in well and we forget that he is a youngster. He has been doing very well at the center of defence and to fight for his position.
“We want it as much as possible to create competition for places in the team.”
Going into this game, both teams will be looking to end the year inside the top eight on the league standings.
While SuperSport head into this key tie after playing to a draw, Cape Town City come off the back of a heartening 2-1 victory over Swallows.
