Condolences pour in for late soccer star Marc Batchelor

Condolences have started to pour in for former Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs striker Marc Batchelor who was shot dead on Monday night.
Batchelor, who also played for Bidvest Wits, Mamelodi Sundowns, SuperSport United and Moroka Swallows during his career, was gunned down in an apparent hit outside his home in Olivedale, Randburg.
Pirates led the messages of tribute to the Batchelor family.
“Orlando Pirates Football Club is saddened by the news of the passing of former striker Marc Batchelor who was shot in Johannesburg last night.
“From all of us at Orlando Pirates Football Club, we convey our heartfelt and deepest sympathy to the Batchelor family and pledge our profound moral support,” read the Pirates statement on the club’s website.
