The Team of Choice made the announcement of the former Bidvest Wits midfielder through their social media platforms.
“The club is delighted to announce the signings of Daylon Classen, Dan Morgan and Micah Lea’ alafa,” read the tweet.
“#BlueArmy, can you give our new boys a proper welcome?”
After arriving back in the country in 2017, the 29-year old joined the Clever Boys, but has failed to become a regular at the Johannesburg outfit, with injuries also hindering his progress.
Claasen has played most of his football in Europe, having played for 1860 Munich in Germany and Lierse in Belgium to mention just two.
He joins a Maritzburg side that needs stability after losing some of its key players such as Fortune Makaringe and Siphesihle Ndlovu, who both joined Orlando Pirates.
